My day at work:

Filling in for sick co-worker
Doing my regular copy-editing
Doing my regular obit processing
A one-hour meeting full of extremely high expectations
Dead camera batteries (that I just took out of the charger today and put in camera)
A car wreck
Layoffs
Trying to get organized
Carol, Carol, Carol, Carol, Carol ...

Tired.

Kindle Fire giveaway

A song in my heart

Yesterday a co-worker was singing a line from "there were 10 in the bed and the little one said, 'roll over'" and it reminded me of the songs we used to sing when we were kids. Today one of my Facebook friends posted "{sings} all around the cobbler's bench...." So this post is dedicated to the folk songs we used to sing. "Down in the valley, valley so low. Hang your head over, hear the wind blow." "You get a line, I'll get a pole, honey (honey). You get a line, I'll get a pole, babe (babe)." (We only sang the first verse.)
