Click for a Cause

I just found out about the National Eat Together Week promotion, which ends Saturday. By printing or sharing recipes, you can help feed others. The pork producers will donate 5 pounds of pork to a food bank for each recipe from the National Eat Together Week page shared through email or printed. What an easy way to help others!

America’s pork producers have officially been encouraging families to enjoy meals together for the last 14 years. Whether it’s dinner, breakfast or a weekend brunch, National Eat Together Week, September 20-26, 2009, encourages families to eat together WHENEVER they can find time.

To help get the word out, the National Pork Board has enlisted all-American supermodel and celebrity mom Niki Taylor, mother of twins Jake and Hunter, and baby Ciel. Says Niki, “With all we’ve got going on, it can be difficult to fit in family meals. However, because we’re so busy, it’s more important than ever to get in quality family time, and eating together is a great way to do that.”America’s pork producers are helping those in need enjoy a meal, too. Beginning at midnight Sunday, September 20, in partnership with Feeding America, the nation's largest domestic hunger-relief charity, America’s pork producers are encouraging you to “click for a cause.” For every recipe printed or shared via email from the special National Eat Together Week section below, America’s pork producers will donate five pounds of pork (or about 25 meals) to a food bank in need.
