Funny and awesome
Cayla has been staying up too late lately (more than the usual). To the point that, this week, she hasn't been to school. She was up so late that she was too tired to function. Of course, this means she's missed Seminary as well, but she was missing that before, even on days she made it to school.
Last night the bishop called and talked to her. She was still up too late, but when her alarm went off this morning, I didn't even hear it because she turned it off right away. I got up a couple minutes later and her light was on. Surprise!
So, as I was driving her into town, I looked at the time and realized we would be there before 6 a.m. I told her, "it would be funny and awesome if we got there before everyone else," but I didn't really think it would happen.
It happened.
Not only were we first, everyone else arrived a little late. I had let Cayla in and waited in the car. Three other cars arrived a few minutes after 6, including the teacher. I had suggested to Cayla that she get a blanket from the YW room and pretend she had been there all night, but that was just a joke. It was nice to know that she was there on time, though.
We'll see how tomorrow goes. For now, though, I'm going back to bed. Which is not very funny, but very awesome. ;-)
